The Sustainable Restaurant Corps (SRC) is a non-profit that helps restaurants reduce their impact on the environment. Our coaches will reach out to restaurants, neighborhood by neighborhood, and work with them to reduce their energy and water usage, to recycle and compost more of their waste and to incorporate more local, organic, sustainable, and seasonal food into their menus.
We will work with suppliers, purveyors, distributors– any business that serves the restaurant industry, to ensure restaurants have what they need to be sustainable.
While we work with restaurants we’ll track many sustainability details. This information will help us acknowledge the great work they are doing. Then, we want to make those ratings available to the most popular web sites that people use to decide where to eat.
We will also have a membership of eco conscious restaurant goers. Members will receive discounts at SUSTY rated restaurants and collect points they can redeem for exclusive culinary experiences.
